THE COMPANY Between Steep and Harsh Hills

The name of the company derives from the nickname by which
my grandfather Guglielmo was known. Vielmin, precisely.

Always closely tied to the land of the Roero region, already in the 1950s, it was a producer of typical wines and played the role of a mediator, moving from tavern to tavern, from restaurant to restaurant, offering its own wines and those of other companies.

Over the decades, my family has skillfully and carefully chosen the best "sorì" (sunny hillsides) of Castellinaldo, carefully evaluating the type of grape variety to plant based on its characteristics. We selected the sunniest slopes for Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Arneis, the most suitable wines for the noblest of the company's wines. That Roero patiently awaits its release on the market, resting majestically in oak barrels and barriques for a year. It's a family business, born with Guglielmo and carried on with the same passion by my father, who abandoned the role of mediator over the years to focus exclusively on the work of viticulturist and wine producer. This passion has been passed down to the present day, where with love and care for our land and its fruits, the business is carried on by me and my two sons, Gabriele and Emanuele.

We directly and skillfully oversee all stages of work in the vineyard and cellar, from pruning to harvest, from pressing to bottling, aiming for the utmost typicity and quality of the product. Our goal is to create a wine that reflects the territory before anything else, capturing its essence and uniqueness.
Today, in our cellar in Castellinaldo d'Alba, technology assists our work, allowing us to operate meticulously on the wines.

A cellar, which is also our home, nestled among the vineyards in a unique and picturesque landscape, surrounded by vineyards that alternate with orchards, forests, vegetable gardens, and castles.
